 Heute durfte ich als Gast-Designer beim Stempeleinmaleins mitwirken. Ich habe einen Workshop zur Coloration mit Twinklings geschrieben. Ich hoffe er gefällt euch und ihr mögt diese Art der Coloration mal ausprobieren. Die englische Übersetzung hab ich mir von JayJay gemopst. Danke das du das Ganze übersetzt hast.(Mein Englisch ist grottig)

Ihr benötigt:
Twinklings H2O
Wassertankpinsel oder normalen Aquarellpinsel + Wasser
Eine kleine Sprayflasche (Mini-mister)
Ein Stück Küchenkrepp zum säubern des Pinsels
Ein Stück Aquarellpapier zum testen
Wasserfestes Stempelkissen
Aquarellpapier

You need: Twinkling’s H2O
Waterbrush or a normal brush + water
A small spray bottle (mini-mister)
A kitchen tissue
A piece of watercolor paper to try the colors out
A waterproof ink pad
Watercolor papersZuerst stempelt ihr euer Motiv mit einem wasserfesten Kissen auf Aquarellpapier. Ich bevorzuge Versafine onyx black oder vintage sepia. Mein Aquarellpapier ist von Canson (200g).

First stamp your image with a waterproof ink pad onto watercolor paper. I’m using the Versafine onyx black or vintage sepia ink pads. My watercolor paper is from Canson (200g).

Die Farbe in den Töpfchen ist hart. Um die Farbpigmente zu aktivieren, sprühe ich vor dem colorieren etwas Wasser in die Töpfe. 1-2 Sprühstöße reichen.

The colors are non-liquid in their pots. I spray some water into the little pots to activate them. 1-2 spray-times are enough.

Die Oberfläche wird dann leicht cremig und die Farbe lässt sich prima verarbeiten.

The surface is getting kind of creamy then and you can work with the colors perfectly.

Da die Farbe in den Töpfen oft anders aus sieht als nachher auf dem Papier, teste ich sie erst. Dazu nehme ich meinen Aquarell Papierstück. So kann ich sehen, wie die Farben auf dem Papier wirken.

As the colors are looking most of the time different into their pots than they are, I test them first. I take a piece of watercolor paper for that. Now I can see how the colors are looking on my paper.

Bevor ich mit dem colorieren beginne, gehe ich leicht mit meinem feuchten Pinsel über die zu colorierende Fläche. Nicht zu viel, es darf nicht total nass sein. Die Farben lassen sich dann besser vermalen und laufen schon beim Auftragen schön ineinander.

Before I start coloring I’m lightly going over the area I want to color with a wet brush. But don’t add too much water, the area isn’t allowed to be too wet! This way you can blend the colors much better.

Ich beginne mit dem Gesicht. Als erstes male ich mit „ almond beige“ einen Rand. Dort soll nachher der Schatten sein. Achtet darauf, das der Pinsel nicht zu nass ist.

I’m starting with the face. First I use “almond beige” and add the color around her face. Later I will have my shadow there. Make sure that your brush isn’t too wet.

Jetzt den Pinsel an dem Küchenkrepp säubern und die Farbe mit dem sauberen Pinsel leicht nach innen verteilen.

Now clean your brush with the kitchen paper and blend the color with a clean brush to the middle of the face.

Um den Schatten zu intensivieren, gehe ich nochmal mit „natural linen“ am äußeren Rand entlang und verwische die Farbe leicht mit einem sauberen Pinsel. Die Wangen und den Mund betone ich mit „poppy red“. Einfach einen kleinen Punkt aufmalen und mit einem sauberen Pinsel leicht verwischen.
Beim Hals und bei den Beinen gehe ich genau so vor.

To get a more intensive shadow I add “natural linen” around her face and blend the color with a clean brush. The cheeks and lips are highlighted with “poppy red”. Just add a little dot of color and blend with a clean brush.
I’m doing the same with her neck and legs.

Für den Hut nehme ich „ celestial sun“ . Die Farbe wieder nur am Rand auftragen und mit einem sauberen Pinsel nach innen verwischen.

For the hat I take “celestial sun”. Add the color around the edge and blend with a clean brush to the middle of the area.

Um den Schatten zu verstärken, gehe ich anschließend nochmal mit „ mango mamba“ den Rand entlang.

To get a more intensive shadow I afterwards add “mango mamba” around the edge.

Als nächstes kommt das Kleid. Bevor ich die Farbe auftrage, gehe ich wieder erst mit meinem feuchten, sauberen Pinsel über das Motiv! Dann setzte ich etwas Farbe an die Ränder, hier ist es „blue ice“. Nach innen verwischen.

Next is the dress. Before I add the color I’m going over the whole area with a clean wet brush! Then I add some color the the edges, here I use “blue ice” and blend it.

Für die Schatten setze ich „ocean wave“ an den Rand und verwische leicht mit einem sauberen Pinsel. Denkt daran, das die Pinsel zum verwischen sauber sind! Ihr vermalt sonst zuviel von der dunklen Farbe in die helle. Außerdem immer vom hellen ins dunkle malen.

For the shadow I add “ocean wave” around the edge and blend it softly with a clean brush. Please make sure that your brush is always clean when you blend! Otherwise you would get too much dark color into the lighter ones. Remember: Blend from the lighter into the darker colors.

Für die Jacke habe ich „poppy red“ benutzt. Da ich keinen weiteren Rotton besitze,h abe ich die Schatten auch mit poppy red gemalt. Dazu wieder erst die Farbe nur am Rand auftragen und mit einem sauberen Pinsel nach innen verwischen.
*** I used “poppy red” for the jacket. As I don’t have another red I also added the shadow with poppy red. Add the color the the edges first and then blend with a clean brush.

Danach wieder Farbe am Rand auftragen, der Pinsel sollte nicht zu nass sein, und leicht verwischen. Der Hut hat auch gleich noch ein bisschen Rot abbekommen. Man muß also nicht zwingend verschiedene Farbtöne haben um Schatten zu erziehlen.

Afterwards add more color the the edge. Please make sure that the brush isn’t too wet and blend. The hat also got a red ribbon. So you see you don’t have to have many different colors to get shadows.

Jetzt sind die Haare dran. Begonnen habe ich mit „mocha rose“ . Wieder am Rand auftragen und verwischen.

Now to the hair. I started with “mocha rose”. Add the color to the edges and blend.

Dann habe ich mit „blushing caramel“ die Schatten gesetzt und verwischt!

Als letztes setze ich noch einen Schatten um das Motiv. Ich habe mich hier für blau (blue ice) entschieden. Vorher wieder das Papier leicht anfeuchten. Dann einen Strich rund um das Motiv setzten und nach aussen verwischen!

In the end I add a shadow around the image. Here I used a blue for this (blue ice). Before adding the color wet the paper lightly around the image. Then I added a line around the image and blend!

    ich muss sagen, dein Workshop ist Klasse. Ein Super Erklärung. Ich muss es ja wissen, da ich absoluter Laie auf deinem Gebiet bin. Ich freue mich immer wieder auf Neuigkeiten aus deinem Blog.

  8. Hallöle Sandy, Du weisst ja, dass ich ein absolutes Greenhorn bin, was Papier- und Stempelkunst anbelangt. Durch Deinen Workshop allerdings hast Du mir die Theorie aber zu 100 Prozent aufgezeigt. Das wäre reif für eine Veröffentlichung 😉 Klasse!
